Thompson River Ranch Wagyu (Kobe) Beef Sirloin Steak (~8oz)
Thompson River Ranch raises Wagyu (Kobe) Beef . They are a small operation and have focused on the very high end of the producing cattle. It takes them twice as long to finish out their cattle as they feed all natural, predominantly grass fed diet. These cows grade out on the very high end of prime – in the 6-8 range where most of prime is around the 3 level. Additionally, only 3% of the entire beef production in the United States even grades in the prime category. Wagyu cattle are a different genetically than the typical Angus and if you feed them in a long-feed program, as we do, the fat profile is as healthy as salmon. They are very high in EFAs and the good fat to bad fat ratio is 6:1, as high as salmon.

You can either return Claravale bottles to stores that sell Claravale or return them to your drop location for a refund. In order to receive a refund from Real Food (Bay Area) please adhere to ALL the following steps:
- Wash out all bottles and lids thoroughly, making sure there is NO milk or cream left inside. (Note: we don’t want to attract bugs or animals to our host locations).
- Place the lid on each bottle and write your name clearly on it. This will be the only way that we can match your refund up to your bottles.
- Make sure bottles are not chipped, as we will not give refunds for bottles that cannot be reused.
- Only return bottles in multiples of six. This is to make my driver’s job in tallying the bottles as quick as possible. If you have fewer than six bottles please wait until you have accumulated six and then return them. If you have more than a multiple of six, please only return the full multiple of 6 (6,12,18, etc.), and return the rest when you have accumulated more.
- Place bottles into empty milk crates at your drop location.
- Sign in the number of bottles you have returned on the sign in sheet on the back of the sign out sheet.
- Bottle deposit returns will be credited to your account once a month during the first week of each month. If you have a standing order, the amount will be credited towards your next order. If you do not have a standing order, I will send you a code to enter into your next order for you to receive credit.
- You will be refunded $1.25 for each Claravale bottle returned. The 25c difference from the price of the deposit you paid is to cover the additional delivery/pickup and administrative costs associated with returning the bottles. This way the price of Claravale milk and cream ($4 and $9 respectively) will not need to be raised for everyone, but those of you who want to use our service to return bottles will be paying to cover the associated costs.
- Refunds are given at the discretion of Real Food (Bay Area).
